Bible Tools
I love reading, studying and researching anything related to God and the Bible!
Because of my background as a high school English teacher and as a technical writer/trainer (for five years at a large IT corporation), I have been blessed with the skills of writing, research and interpreting the written word. In addition to 35+ years of formal teaching and training, I have also been bestowed with the ability to effectively teach preschoolers and children in Sunday school and other Christian programs for at least 18 consecutive years. I feel very blessed to have been given the experiences to teach and train so many different age levels. I can assure you, however, that my teaching and writing skills are all God-given gifts. I believe with all my heart that I can do nothing without Jesus Christ in my life.
During my career as a teacher, I never contemplated the idea of beginning an entirely new career after I retired from teaching. I certainly never thought I would take on such a challenging task as creating my own website. But yet, God called me to a second career – teaching others how to be godly in an ungodly world. Because God had planned my life before I was even born, He obviously used the skills I acquired teaching teenagers, adults, and children to accomplish my second calling – using my own experiences and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to discuss the importance of not only chosing Jesus as Lord and Savior but the real necessity of being prepared for the return of Jesus.
“I love being able to read the Bible and study and reflect on its words! I am very thankful that God has given me the skill set to be able to share with others what I have learned through my website!”
Bible Tools I Offer:
Blog. This section contains articles which I believe God has directed me to write, and which reflect my own journey in studying and reading the Bible to become a more godly woman. These articles will cover topics which I believe are very relevant in learning about who God is, the Bible, salvation, differences between believers and nonbelievers, and how Christ’s followers are expected to live.
Bible Study. This section offers materials to encourage reading and studying the Bible. Bible studies will include activities such as locating and writing down selected Bible verses related to a specific topic. Other studies will focus on a certain chapter or section of the Bible or a particular Biblical truth and will include personal interpretation of Scripture and also personal reflection/application of those verses.
Resource Library. This section contains many useful tools for facilitating learning, including memory cards, graphs and charts, topical lists of Bible verses, numerous worksheets from which to choose for personal Bible study, blank reflection/journal pages, and much more.
A NOTE ABOUT THE DESIGN OF MY PAGES Because my overall theme is “Living a Godly Life in an Ungodly World,” I have intentionally chosen to use the beauty of God’s creation of nature rather than images of anything that relates to the more worldly side of our lives. All photos are my original photography. I used digitalization to give many of my photos a look reminiscent to Impressionist art. The softness of the colors represent the calmness of spirit that comes from a close relationship with God. I hope you will enjoy the beauty of the images as much as I enjoyed creating them.
